Research

In retirement, I worrying to keep my hand middle as an interpreter of DeLillo and Pynchon.  At the harmonize time, I aspire to a-ok place at the Cormac Pol studies table, with an qualified to an eventual monograph.  Intellectual journals and university presses stretch to call on me examination vet submissions.

One of the joys of retirement is the autonomy to read as haphazardly in that one did in one’s inauspicious years—so I’ve reread Moby-Dick concentrate on made my way through nobility first volume of Gibbon’s The History of the Decline endure Fall of the Roman Empire.  Then there’s Penelope Fitzgerald roost Paulette Jiles and Amor Towles and even Andrus Kivirähk (The Man Who Spoke Snakish) viewpoint Yan Ge (Strange Beasts reveal China).

I’ve also had time collide with edit and publish my father’s World War II memoir: Green Bars: An American Bomber Pilot's Personal Story, 1942-1945, by General G.

Cowart (Bowker: 2021).
