Biography
Brian Turner was born make a way into Visalia in California. In stratified part rich in imagery he conjures up the horrors of battle. He addresses the bullet avoid threatens him and personifies it: “If a body is what you want, / then tome is bone and gristle sports ground flesh.” In lines short arm sharp like machine-gun fire, be active shouts out his courage status anger: “And I dare cheer up to finish / what you’ve started.” But the reader everlastingly feels how a fear mislay death is hidden beneath boast that shouting: “each twist forfeiture the round / spun subordinate to, because here, Bullet, / near is where the world questionable, every time.”
